Wear a Donald mask tonight while you watch Kodak on "The Celebrity Apprentice"

Tonight is the big night... Kodak will be appearing on The Celebrity Apprentice.
We are so excited, we are sporting Donald Trump masks around the office.
Look for the KODAK EASYSHARE All-in-One Printers on tonight's episode at 9/8c.
If you would like a Donald mask to wear during the show to get you in the mood, you can download it here and print it out for yourself and everyone watching with you!
The mask is handy to have... in case you need to fire your dog walker or broken refridgerator. Sort of empowers you.

The masks are being used as subliminal messages around our West Coast offices. This was seen in one of the elevators.
Into Tomorrow at CES
Another year at CES has come to a close. The Kodak booth was a great success and I saw a lot of innovative products throughout the show.

One of the highlights was finding Dave Graveline's booth where they were recording segments for the Into Tomorrow radio show. Into Tomorrow covers the latest in technology and consumer electronics. The show is broadcast on weekends in 140 countries and is carried on over 130 stations. I record Kodak photo tips for Into Tomorrow show, so it was nice to meet everyone that works on the production.

I was especially happy to see the photo set up in the corner of their booth. Guests have their picture taken with Kodak Digital Cameras and printed out on Kodak Picture Docks and get to take them home as a memento. What a great idea.
Photo Gadgets at CES Part 2

Liquid Image was showing the first Underwater Digital Camera Mask. The camera is 5.0 MP and can take pictures 15 feet underwater. There are lots of other underwater cameras but this one lets you be hands free. It also records video.

Aww yeah. Lookin' good.

I stopped by the Joby booth to see the new color Gorillapods. Now I can coordinate my Gorillapod with Oscar when he is taking pictures.

Modo had some cool tripods too.... this is a teeny ModoPocket that folds up to the size of a business card holder.

The ModoSteady is made for video recorders. The weight that hangs below stabilizes the device.

Here is a tripod that is supposed to stick to almost anything. The Monster Pod uses a patented viscoelastic polymer that looks a lot like silly putty. It will stick to metal, wood, plastic, veneer, marble, cement, steel, brick, glass, tile, enamel, sheet rock, rocks and trees. Wow.

After four days of using my digital camera around CES it was pretty smudgy. I stopped at one booth and had it cleaned using a DigiKlear pen which uses a special carbon compound that absorbs the amino acids in finger prints. Very handy.
Fun Gadgets at CES Part 2

Euricase is a ring box that will play a personalized video, picture slideshow or audio when it is opened. Soft light is also shone on the ring. At first I thought this is perfect for the techie geek in love, but then the inventor started telling me about soldiers overseas sending the ring boxes to their girlfriends back in the US, with recorded video asking them for their hand in marriage.
*Sniff* Thanks Euricase.... thanks for making me cry in the middle of the CES showroom.

These Scandyna Pod Speakers are the coolest looking speakers I have ever seen.

And this Hannspree apple tv is the cutest tv I have ever seen.

I always like checking out what is new in robot technology. This year iRobot was showing their pool cleaning robot called Verro.

And this is Looj, a gutter cleaning robot.

ConnectR was the most interesting, I think. It is a virtual visiting robot. With two way audio and a video camera you can have real time virtual visits over the internet. You can leave the robot at a "host" home and then remotely drive around the host home and interact with those on-site.

Lawnbott was demonstrating a robot mower. I like how they brought in real grass for it to scoot around on.
Here is a video clip of lawnbott mowing away.
Cool Photo Products at CES
Here are some photography related products I have spotted.

This is a Solio universal solar charger. With one of these you could charge your digital camera without a power outlet. It is free energy and green. What a great idea. Unless you live somewhere like Sweden that only gets a few hours of sun a day in the winter.
I like how the low tech number two pencil is used to prop it up.

The Always On Wrap Up camera case attaches to your cameras tripod connection on the bottom so that you have quick access to your camera. I think this is a good idea because I have missed shots before while fumbling to get my camera out of the case. I have also lost two camera cases by taking the camera out and leaving the case lying somewhere.

There is also a version with a little tripod attached to the bottom. Also handy.

This mystudio set up caught my eye because I take a lot of pictures of my craft projects. Usually I set my projects up in a window on a sheet of printer paper. This would be a vast improvement. The set up comes with the boards, reflectors and lighting.

Here is a sample of the shot I got using the mystudio set up. This would work well for people who take a lot of pictures for online auctions.

Invisible Shield is made of material that was designed for military helicopter blades. It is a clear, non-slip, scratch proof film you can put on your digital camera screen to protect it.

Even though I understood how durable this stuff was, it made my hair stand on end to watch the demonstrator scritch scratch away at his screen with a car key.

I could not help but be attracted to these Mikros microfiber cleaning cloths. My digital camera screen is always covered with fingerprints and who wouldn't want to clean their screen with images of kittens?

Cool Products at CES
There are a lot of products here that aren't related to photography, that I can't help pointing out. They are mostly eye candy and ridiculously cute items.

I admit it, I am a Star Wars fan and I have a Wii. So I thought these Wii lightsaber attachments were sweet.

I couldn't stop staring at this Alienware computer. It looks like something you should be driving around in. Slick.

I really want one of these P.C. Gizmo or P.C. Pooches. They connect to your computer and beep, flash and spin around when you get email, instant messages or internet calls.
Here is a video of a Gizmo dancing around.

These iShoes stopped me in my tracks. They are lightweight transportation that can take you around the city, your office or campus.
Watch the demonstator zipping around on a pair of iShoes.

Here is even more Star Wars goodness. R2 D2 dvd projector and wireless webcam from Nikko Home Electronics.

I am not sure, but I think this is the Millenium Falcon remote control.
Check back tomorrow for more amazing products from CES!
