The New Kodak Facebook Fan Page
It has been transformed into a place that celebrates relationships and provides tips, videos and discussions on how to strengthen and deepen yours.
One of the first things posted is this study on the state of relationships. For instance, did you know although Facebook members report an average of 136 friends, they only count 6 people they trust enough to share their innermost feelings with. You can read more from the study here...

There are also some fun things like photo challenges - this week the challenge is photos of grads. If you have a favorite photo from graduation - new or old - share it on the Kodak Facebook wall and the funniest, most heartwarming and all around best shots will be included in the Kodak Grad Photo Album.
If you aren't a fan yet, take a moment and join in! It's time to smile!

Kodak at the 140 Conference

There is an exciting conference going on in NYC about Twitter and Kodak is there. The 140 Conference is covering Twitter's effects on many industries from media to advertising to politics.

Kodak CMO Jeff Hayzlett was a keynote speaker yesterday, where he got the crowd riled up about bad behavior on Twitter and urged them to coin the term Twankers for people who hijack, terrorize, provoke and spam on Twitter.

Kodak has a table in the exhibitor lobby where attendees can check out products like the wireless Kodak W1020 Digital Frame and Kodak Digital Cameras (good for posting Twitpics!) Kodaker Bill Streb is there to answer any questions and as you can see, appear really happy to assist.
Today Jeff will be moderating a panel of video experts who are on Twitter and I will be on a panel with other brands that are on Twitter. You can follow what is going on at the conference by tracking #140conf or following @jeffreyhayzlett and @kodakcb on Twitter.
Viewing Photos

I have been going through photos from my vacation last week.

Reliving memories.

Uploading and sharing them. Saving them for another day.

It got me thinking about this unique way of looking at pictures. My mom got me this for my birthday this year.

It's a very old View-Master! From around the late 1940's from what I can tell from a few of the reels. And look closely - "7 three-dimensional pictures in full-color Kodakchrome!"

View-Masters first came out in 1939 as an alternative to postcards and were sold at photo stores and landmark gift shops. What a fun way to remember a vacation!
A kite and a video camera - the view from above

Luckily, in a fit of unprecidented planning, I had brought a "vintage" Kodak mc3 with me to the beach. The mc3 is like the Zi6 and the Zx1's grandfather. Back in 2001 we sold these video/still/music players. We were ahead of our time I think! The mc3 doesn't take video as well as the new Kodak video cams, but it I also wasn't worried about losing it.

After many, many attempts that involved my Dad using massive amounts of duct tape, and my sister running down the beach like a nut - we had liftoff.

The result? 15 minutes of swooping, looping, nauseating video footage. But we did it! And it was fun!

Check out this video montage from the great kite video cam experiment!
